ABSTRACT

The present project was based on the realization of a descriptive model for preschool teachers and managers, in order to know the results obtained during the confinement as a result of COVID 19, which was characterized by the use of a virtual environment. As a means to carry out the interaction, experiences, strategies and activities necessary to develop school skills, the study makes use of data visualization techniques, following the Soukup and Davidson methodology itself, which developed a pilot project and had a set of data, in which the evaluations carried out during the 2019-2022 period for fourteen public preschool institutions in the state of Guerrero were reflected and divided into six areas to be analyzed, including language and communication, thought mathematics, exploration of the environment, social-emotional, arts and physical education. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

This study presents a statistical analysis of the actions implemented to retain university students. Data from the engineering dean's office of a private higher education institution in the state of Puebla-Mexico were considered. Nine strategies were implemented to retain students;a 13-item survey was also applied to determine the students' perception of the support received. It was found that the actions that do favor retention are: Student Support and Follow-up Program (PASE) and solidarity support. On the other hand, the survey was answered by 95 students, of which 70.5% are men and 29.5% are women, who perceive that the support was good and that receiving the economic benefit or maintaining it during the pandemic helped them to remain in the institution and continue with their studies. In this way, it is determined that solidarity and financial support contribute to university students' retention.

ABSTRACT

The covid-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc throughout society worldwide. The education sector, concerned about encouraging students to continue their studies, has proposed alternative actions to encourage retention, reduce dropout and motivate students and their families. This study presents an analysis of the strategies implemented in a higher education institution in the state of Puebla-Mexico to retain students and favor the emotional and psychological state that allows them to continue with their university studies. It was found that the implementation of solidarity supports such as discounts, scholarships, and the follow-up program (PASE) have contributed favorably to the retention of students and their emotional and psychological health. © 2022 IEEE.
